Powerleague Joins Forces with Circularball to Drive Sustainable Padel
In partnership with Coca-Cola, Powerleague is proud to announce its collaboration with Circularball, a pioneering UK-based recycling initiative powered by hubba, to tackle the growing issue of tennis and padel ball waste.
Each year, over 325 million tennis and padel balls are produced globally, with the vast majority ending up in landfill or incineration. Circularball is changing that. As the UK’s only local recycling solution for used tennis and padel balls, Circularball transforms waste into sustainable products like flooring and insulation, all within the UK, ensuring a low-carbon, circular approach.
Now, with the support of Coca-Cola, Circularball bins will be installed across Powerleague’spadel venues, including Manchester Nicholls, Birmingham and Shoreditch, and additional clubs in Paisley, Portobello, Sighthill, and Romford, set to open later this year.
Circularball is an LTA-approved recycling solution available to registered venues and is part of a broader movement by hubba to tackle hard-to-recycle waste. Other initiatives include Circularcups, made from coffee waste, and Circularpots, which repurpose horticultural plastics.
This partnership marks a significant step forward in making padel not just the fastest-growing sport in the UK, but also one of the greenest.
